Kanye West Hints at Support for Trump in the 2020 Election: ‘I’m Definitely Voting’

Rapper Kanye West is getting back into politics, and he is sharing, “We know who I’m voting on.”

West was a vocal celebrity supporter of President Donald Trump before he took a break away from politics in 2018. However, he ended up letting everyone know in January 2019 through tweets, “Trump all day,” adding, “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand.”

Though he did not vote — and was not registered to do so — in the 2016 presidential election, the hip hop star did previously say he “would’ve voted for Trump.”

Now, West is making it known that he will be voting in the 2020 presidential election.

“I buy real estate,” West told GQ magazine. “It’s better now than when Obama was in office.”

“Both my parents were freedom fighters, and they used to drink from fountains they were told they couldn’t drink from, and they used to sit in restaurants where they were told they couldn’t eat from,” West said, adding, “They didn’t fight for me to be told by white people which white person I can vote on.”

He went on to say, “I’m definitely voting this time. And we know who I’m voting on.”

West added:

“I’m not going to be told by the people around me and the people that have their agenda that my career is going to be over. Because guess what: I’m still here! Jesus Is King was No. 1! I was told my career would end if I wasn’t with . What kind of campaign is that, anyway? That’s like if Obama’s campaign was ‘I’m with black.’ What’s the point of being a celebrity if you can’t have an opinion?”

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the presumptive nominee for the 2020 Democratic Party, as he looks to take on Trump in November’s general election.
