For Buffalo Bills fans, the Bills make then want to shout. The same canât be said for New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.
Hochul was one of the many dignitaries on hand for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the teamâs new stadium earlier this week.
Hochul seized the moment and tried to get the crowd hyped up, even attempting to lead a cheer.
âAlright, letâs get this party started, letâs go!â she said, clad in the teams red and blue colors.
But she remained undeterred when met by crickets.
âBuffalo, letâs go!â she yelled, attempting to start a call-and-response chant.
âAlright, seriously? You want to win a championship season with that kind of enthusiasm?â a frustrated Hochul said. âMen and women of labor, you know what Iâm talking about.â

She then tried to start another chant was met with the same result.
âWe gotta give this place some good karma, right?â she then said, referring to the new $2.1 billion stadium.
The Bills will open the 60,000-seat facility with training camp practice Aug. 8.
The stadium is 99.75% complete, according to Bills Senior Vice President of Design and Stadium Operations Frank Cravotta.
Stadium architects Populous designed the building with underground heating coils to allow the natural grass to avoid freezing. Thereâs also a snow-melt system, and a canopy that blocks wind to keep fans more comfortable during Western New York winters.
